During the month of August 8 out of the 14 Gusto Italian restaurants took place in a race to Florence and Back. Strava accounts linked to Just Giving Pages meant that the miles could easily be clocked.
Colleagues could either run, walk, swim or ride to Italy. The team are a pretty active bunch so the 4134 miles to Florence and back was completed by the end of the month.
The money that the team have raised will go in the pot of the £100K to Young Lives vs Cancer.
The money from the partnership will help Young Lives vs Cancer be there for young people facing cancer and their families. The charity’s specialist social workers are there from the moment of diagnosis to help guide families through everything cancer throws at them. Their eleven Home from Homes offer families a free place to stay near to the hospital.
